Yung Lord Fine$$: The Rise of a Versatile Artist
A Journey of Heartbreak and Love
In the ever-evolving world of music, Yung Lord Fine$$ has emerged as a multifaceted artist who has captured the hearts of many with his debut album, “Every Lord Needs a Lady.” Thisis50 sat down with the talented musician to discuss his creative process, inspirations, and what fans can expect from him in the future.
Finding His Signature Sound
Thisis50: Can you tell us about your latest project and the inspiration behind it?
Yung Lord Fine$$: Over the past two years, I have been finding my signature sound as an artist by exploring different genres and themes based on my emotions at a certain point in my life. My debut album, ‘Every Lord Needs a Lady,’ is a product of my hard work. It is a versatile album with genres from rap to pop to even ‘opera-like’ themes, characterized by dramatic storytelling and powerful vocals.
The entire album tells a story of my life over the past two years in chronological order of the tracklist. The top half of the album resembles a heartbreak theme, while the bottom half symbolizes a love theme. Just like every King needs a queen, every lord needs a lady. I proudly present my first studio album, ‘Every Lord Needs a Lady.’
Crafting a Unique Sound
Thisis50: What is your creative process like when writing and producing music?
Yung Lord Fine$$: My music reflects my emotions and the type of music I’m into. It’s a way for me to channel my feelings rather than resort to something like drugs or alcohol to numb my pain. I started with themes of heartbreak, but as I grew, so did my music. Now, I’m creating club and dance-themed songs. It’s hard to write a sad song when I’m not sad anymore, which explains the shift to more upbeat themes. My creative process involves a lot of experimentation and collaboration. I often work with other musicians and producers to bring my ideas to life. I’m always open to new collaborations and influences.
Musical Influences and Evolution
Thisis50: Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound?
Yung Lord Fine$$: My musical journey has been shaped by a diverse range of influences. From bands like Genesis, Journey, and Foreigner to rap artists like Lil Tjay, Polo G, and the late Juice WRLD, each has left a unique imprint on my sound. I’ve always been drawn to the storytelling aspect of rock music and the raw emotion of rap. I aim to bring something fresh and unique to the industry, a sound that is distinctly mine and yet resonates with a broad audience. My unique sound intrigues and captivates listeners, inviting them to explore my music.
Overcoming Challenges
Thisis50: What challenges have you faced in your music career, and how have you overcome them?
Yung Lord Fine$$: The production process for ‘Every Lord Needs a Lady’ had its challenges. Initially, I worked with a studio that failed to deliver a satisfactory product. Despite addressing issues and making necessary edits, the studio still overlooked a crucial detail: a beat tag that was supposed to be removed. This was a setback, but it didn’t deter me. I reworked the single from the album with a new studio, dedicating almost a year to perfecting the final audio. The revised album was re-released without notice, resulting in a superior product now permanently available on all streaming services. This experience taught me the importance of resilience and the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.
Memorable Moments
Thisis50: Can you share a memorable moment or experience from your journey as an artist?
Yung Lord Fine$$: I remember waking up one morning to a phone call from an iTunes representative, who made me aware that my debut album, “Every Lord Needs a Lady,” had reached the iTunes Pop Charts. At first, I felt a mix of excitement and disbelief. The music industry can be filled with scams, so I was skeptical. But when I checked the charts for myself, there it was, my album sitting at the 184th spot on the iTunes Pop Genre Charts. The excitement set in when I received an authentic plaque displaying my achievement.
Staying Motivated
Thisis50: How do you stay motivated and inspired to create new music?
Yung Lord Fine$$: I constantly add new content to build my brand. Last year, I established my official website and record label, which continue to grow. I plan to add a tour and merch section to my website shortly, and it will also be on Wikipedia this year. These efforts keep me motivated and inspired to create new music.
Message and Themes
Thisis50: What message or themes do you hope to convey through your music?
Yung Lord Fine$$: What sets me apart is my ability to create music and emotional experiences. My album serves as a testament to the profound connection between artist and listener, transcending the confines of genre. I invite listeners into my world through vulnerability and authenticity, encouraging them to explore and embrace the myriad emotions woven into each composition.
Future Projects
Thisis50: What can fans expect from you shortly? Are there any upcoming releases or performances?
Yung Lord Fine$$: There’s a lot in store for my fans. I’ve been releasing music videos for every song I have out lately, so fans can stay tuned for more music videos premiering soon. In terms of music, I’m currently working on a new album, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. Additionally, I have an exciting performance lined up in November where I’ll perform in front of music A&R executives in Miami. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my fans, and I’m excited to share these upcoming projects with them.
