Background and Journey
Born in Castro Valley, CA, and raised in Rockville, MD, Ben Simon started freestyling at the age of 16. After completing college, he found himself in a corporate job for four years, but he yearned for something more meaningful. This longing drove Ben to save up and embark on a transformative backpacking journey through Southeast Asia. This adventure reshaped his perspective on life and his role in it.
Returning home in 2020, Ben, now known as MC Earth, took to the streets throughout 2021, freestyling on over 35 street corners across the USA while sharing his performances on the social media platform “Rap the Map.” It was during this journey that he had a profound encounter with Mother Nature, sparking a newfound dedication to protecting the Earth.
