Stephen Nurse, who performs under the stage name Nurse and is based in Newfoundland Canada, is unquestionably on the rise. The up-and-coming young artist portrays a positive persona that is full of clever wordplay. It is the kind of bold musical statement that crosses artificial boundaries, in this case between underground rap and the experimental netherworld, to reach something that is both ethereal and tangible, gloomy but alive. His music is terrifyingly original and aggressively difficult. Nurse first started rapping when he was only 14 years old. He recently started making music again after a 9-year hiatus. He has worked with local artists throughout Newfoundland including the likes of Hippy Junior, Jwaves, Dimes, and Taylor Tigress. Nurse anticipates a new single titled Defeated very soon which features Dimes and Jwaves. He also plans on releasing a music video for his single Stuck Like Glue which was shot and directed by Hippy Junior. His most recent single, Banana Peels, is a standout record with an energetic feel. Nurse clearly has the drive and looks to succeed and go above and beyond. His most recent singles have been as consistent as his overall drive, indicating that he is indeed an ambitious and dedicated artist. We can’t wait to hear about his upcoming projects and any upcoming releases!
